Join us for a week in Glacier Nat Park this summer!

Glacier Nat Park 2024

  • When: July 8-13 + August 12-17 // OVER 40 Women’s Trip June 24-29

  • Who: 10-12 Women lead by Mckenna Huslander + a few amazing co-leaders for each trip

  • Stay: ROAM Beyond + 1 Night Camping Backcountry

  • What: A week hiking, camping, river rafting, fly-fishing, rodeo-ing and spending evenings talking by the fire

  • This summer, you will have several opportunities to travel to Glacier Nat Park with our crew! In partnership with Outcast Adventures, a local Montana women’s lead adventure company, we will hike, rodeo, fly fish, camp riverside, horseback into the backcountry, and just enjoy a week of fellowship under the stars. Just like our other trips, this experience is entered around adventure of course pushing ourselves with 16+ miles of hiking, pushing adventure camping out in bear country, and pushing ourselves relationally spending the evenings reflecting and engaging in intentional conversation (and some karaoke if you are down)! You have multiple opportunities to join and you don’t want to miss this experience!

    Day 2 - Hike, Paddle Board + Drive the Sun Road

    Day 3 - Rafting + Fly Fishing + camp under the stars

    Day 4 - 2nd day of rafting + Evening Rodeo + Kareoke

  • Stay: Tropical Escape in Canggu + Porter Hotel Lombok

  • What: A week of exploring surfing, snorkeling, fresh smoothies, daily massages, beautiful accommodations, waterfall hikes and experiencing all Bali has to offer

  • Join us for the most amazing week in Indonesia. We will begin the trip in Bali and end in Lombok for a few days of surfing, snorkeling and while getting daily yoga + massages. I have no doubt that the team will be incredible but also, the food + experiences.

  • Day 1 - Arrivals in Bali, Cocktails + Sunset Beach Stroll

    Day 2 - Morning Acai Bowls, Snorkeling + an Afternoon Waterfall Hike

    Day 3 - Ubud Day Trip to see monkeys, temple + rice patties

Katie Rae Bode @katieraebode

Hello all! I am a film producer, photographer, mum of 2, military spouse and a lover of outdoors + fitness. At 18, I skipped the traditional route of starting college right away, and moved to Ireland. At 20, I skipped being a counselor at a summer camp to travel by myself to Africa. At 22, I started leading teams of University students to Africa to experience Humanitarian work + the beautiful African experience (TIA, baby). At 25, I began working as a media producer for an outdoor adventure company where my job was producing films + photos of the outdoors in Colorado (getting paid to ski - not a bad gig). And at 26, I started working for a global film company traveling the world to tell stories of change. At 29, I moved to Utah + spent my days hiking around one of the most beautiful spots in the world. And now, I am a mum of 2, living in Australia, channeling all those years of exploring to my greatest adventure yet - adventuring with my two kids! And now, with this trip, I get the chance again to go out with a group of like-minded women, and chase after adventure, build relationships, and have an experience that we all will never forget! Can’t wait to meet you as well!

  • Mckenna Huslander

    Leader for All Glacier Trips

    Outcast Adventure Owner + Glacier Nat Park Leader - Mckenna is a professional hockey player, fly fishing (and bear) expert, and a local Montanan. She is here to show you the best time whether that be on the river, the mountain, by campfire, or singing karaoke at a local bar.

  • Michelle Spiess

    Montana Co-Leader June 17-22

    Indonesia Co-Leader July 7-15

    Michelle is a mom of four, wife, homeschool teacher, adventurer and current resident of TN. After residing in Portland, OR for most of her life, her husband and her family moved to Kauai, HI and then ultimately decided to travel the world with their kids. They spent time in France, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Australia (where they visited KR) + more. Michelle loves snorkeling, reads about 50 books a year, and is currently planning their next trip to New Zealand and Australia.

    Lindsey's soul longs to travel and explore! Her favorite place is among the mountains. She loves experiencing others' authentic selves and to be surrounded by adventure. She also has a purpose-driven passion to impact others through simply being and supporting. Lindsey is our Colorado-based logistics coordinator and the spicy part of the crew!

 FAQs

  • A basic level of fitness is required for our trip! This is mostly because the activities include long hikes, swimming, kayaking, etc. If there is an activity that an injury, pregnancy, or physical limitation inhibits you from joining, there may be an option to opt out, however, our trips are focussed around being physically active. Prior to the trip, I will send out emails of the training + prepping I do for hikes like this! Mostly though, a good, positive attitude is the greatest requirement for this trip!

  • We will have set pick up times for the day of arrival and deparutre. If you cannot make the pick up time, then it is up to you to make it to our meeting point!

  • Prior to the trip, I will send out an email with a suggested packing list + my favorite gear including hiking packs, shoes, etc.!

  • A general love for the outdoors is necessary to go with us! If you haven't yet explored these experiences, that is okay too! These trips are meant to push ceilings and help us to realize how adventure and nature can be a tool of healing and we want to help you discover and grow yourself in this. We will spend a lot of time outdoors, so you can expect a lot of bugs, sweat, and a little bit of dirt. It is all part of the experience!

  • Minimum age : 21. Maximum age : none! As long as you love a good physical challenge + are ready for adventure - come on!

  • The sleeping arrangements will vary from a night of beach camping under the stars to some beautiful Air BnBs. But everyone will have a bed and will be bunking up with a few other women in rooms. If you are open to bed sharing with a new friend - also let us know! This is going to be a great time to build friendships and make new friends - so all bunking up is a part of that!

  • For right now, Amidist Adventures is just offering women’s trips! But our goal is to have our first men’s trip in 2025!

  • You are in charge of booking your own flights into Lihue Airport on Kauai. Lindsey our amazing trip coordinator will be in touch with everyone about pick up times, etc.!

    Overall, everyone pays a $500 non-refundable deposit. There will be two additional payments of $1250 prior to the trip.

Terms & Conditions

General

Paying for this experience confirms that you accept all terms + conditions listed. Anyone applying must be 21 years old + and in good physical health. Any other questions - shoot us an email!

Fitness & Conduct

Each participant must have a general level of fitness and be able to walk up to 7/8 hours on uneven, hilly surfaces and swim for at least 20 minutes unassisted. Any health or medical concerns must be addressed with physician prior to arrival and inform the team at Amidst Adventures of the condition.

Any conduct that disrupts the experiences of the team or puts any one else in harms way will release that member from the trip with no refunds given.

Booking & Payment

A non-refundable deposit of $500 holds your spot with the remaining due in two additional payments you will receive an invoice for.

Damages

Participant will be held responsible for any injuries or damages incurred to other members or equipment and will be held responsible for reimbursement.

Cancellations & Refunds

All cancelleations must be made in writing to hello@amidstadventures.com

Amidst Studio reserves the right to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances like (but not limited to) staff illness, family death, natural disaster, global circumstances.

Promotion & Marketing

I agree by signing up to this trip that any and all photos taken by Amidst Studio are available for future promotional use and any and all rights belong to Amidst Studio. I also agree to not use photos for promotional materials or advertising of my own unless prior agreed upon with Katie Rae Bode & Amidst Studio.
