HELLO.
My name is Katie Rae and I am a photographer, writer & film producer living in NSW, Australia. For the last ten years, I have traveled to over 22 countries producing and photographing stories of change + impact. From the farthest corners, to my next door neighbor, I take so much pride in telling stories in such a way that brings light, beauty, and connection to even the simplest of stories.
I have camped in the African bush for a week, bathing in open fields, dancing around the fire, and preparing chicken alongside the Zambian women I got to know. I have told the stories of mothers who just got out of prison in Tennessee and the foster families who have cared for their children while they were incarcerated. Adventure, travel, and immersing myself in other cultures has become a part of who I am, and now that I am a mother, I am working to continue that same spirit into the family I am raising.
I am an Air Force Wife, mom to Cal + Quinn, lover of ice cream and flat whites. I have a deep love for fitness, the ocean and am a forever Harry Potter fan. My hope is to live in such a way that is stretching and testing and pushes the boundaries of what is comfortable.
